Helpful tips to get the most from your Photo session
Climate
Hawaii has a tropical climate and may be different from what you are used to. The sun and wind may dehydrate you, so keep plenty of drinking water available at all times. Remember, your skin depends on hydration to look its best. Protect it by the liberal use of sunscreen and moisturizers. You don't want to look like a lobster in your wedding photos. You can burn in less than 20 minutes if you have not taken measures to protect your skin.
Arrive Early for your Session
You don't want to miss your photo session so please arrive ten minutes ahead of schedule to the location. Please see our policy below.
A MINIMUM OF 72 HOURS NOTICE IS REQUIRED FOR CANCELLATION OR RESCHEDULING OF YOUR SESSION.
If a notice of cancellation is received within less than 72 hours, then you are responsible for the full cost of the session, due immediately. If a re-schedule date is available, a re-schedule fee of $50 USD would apply.
Choose your Clothing Carefully
For best photography results, chose a solid color rather than complex prints or stripes. If you must wear a print, keep it simple.
Be Prepared to Adjust your Appearance
Clothing, Hair, and Make-up
We have lovely tradewinds most of the time that keep us cool but they can also play havoc with hairstyles, make-up and clothing. Brief tradewind showers may also dampen your clothes so be prepared with a change of clothing and items to touch-up your make-up and hair. If you normally use hairspray, you will appreciate it but if you don't, consider using a firm hold hairspray for your photo session. If you would like a hairstylist or make-up artist on hand during your shoot, just let us know.
What about Jewelry?
Don't risk losing your expensive or irreplaceable items. Keep them safe by leaving them at home or in the hotel safe. DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR CAR!
On-site Oahu Locations
The location of your photo session is most likely scheduled for an outdoor area. The site may not have access to a retail location, refreshments, or water so please bring extra drinking water and perhaps a snack. Since you may be on a beach or in the beautiful Hawaiian sunshine, please bring sunscreen and a towel.
